One of my best and worst qualities is the ability to romanticize. I envision myself with the perfect sunglasses, scarf tied around my neck, endless road in the rearview, wind in my hair, and if I just find the perfect look, the moment I have been planning for will be immortalized and I will have the time of my life as this perfect version of myself.
After racking up my amex bill and dreaming of life changing ensembles, I have built my fictional (read here) and literal packing list for my trip to Texas (see below).
It’s hot as actual hell (likely, can’t confirm) in Texas which has made packing and styling complicated. My go-to style in sauna-esque weather is to dress as close to naked as possible, however, on this trip I will be spending time with my family, so that’s sort of out of the question. Here’s what I came up with.
For the airport I kept it comfy, yet true to my personal style, by pairing closet staples with a statement pant, fun shoes and a functional bag that fits my laptop (aka an extension of my brain and ultimate must-have).
Tee, Shirt, Pants (found mine on TRR, but here they are FP), Shoes, Sunglasses, Tote (sold out, but there are some Idaho totes on net-a-porter or this beautiful Graham tote.)
Austin feels like a place where you can embrace camp nostalgia, so being a little playful with layers, patterns and textures.
Shirt (apart of the Ssense Private Sale right now), Sunglasses, Halter Top, Knit Shorts, Bag (sold out, similar here and here), Sandals (these are old, similar here).
I haven’t been swimming since March and I am very excited to style a fun summer pool look. I have wanted to try Isa Boulder swimwear and I finally found one on The Outnet.
Bikini Top + Bottom, Sunglasses, Bag, Pareo (sold out, navy here), Havaianas
Nothing like a little risk to make you feel alive, naturally I am wearing all white to the wine tour.
Earrings, Hair Clip, Tube Top, Linen Pants (petites + ES, too!), Sunglasses, Bag, Sandal
Can’t wait to have scallops and heirloom tomatoes at Otto’s, yah!
Top + skirt (sold out, similar here, dress version here), Sunglasses, Bag, Anklet, Sandal (I got lucky and found these on sale at Neiman’s. Similar here.)
Stay toasted, xx.
