Hello! And welcome back to Half Baked. April (one of my favorite months) was a colorful one. Here’s a look at my screenshots.

I know this is an old image of Leandra Medine Cohen by internet standards, but someone shared it recently and now I really want to recreate the look. Her necklace was a collab between Veronica Beard and Sylvia Toledano from last year. Sylvia’s designs are gorgeous. I found a few other variations of the torque necklace here and here.

The rest of the outfit is pretty straightforward in the best way: a scoop-neck tank, black mini shorts, a navy blazer long enough to cover the shorts in the back, and a pair of Ray-Bans. French woman on vacation meets Upper East Side dad running out for coffee.

More fun jewelry, seen here in a photo by Mari Giudicelli, who is now working on styling and concepts for Ralph Lauren, which so far has been stellar.

The bracelets worn over the shirt and the yellow sneaker as little pops of color in an otherwise all-white outfit speak to me on a personal level. It was, naturally, a small internet treasure hunt to find everything featured in this look, but I think I managed to cobble together what I could.

The shirt, pants, and bag are readily available, the suede fringe skirt is nearly sold out, and I think this is the yellow sneaker. This looks like the belt, though this one is also good. The sunglasses and bracelets are nowhere to be found, but I found a few similar bracelets here. These sunglasses are not at all the same, but I still really like them, and this sunglass case is fucking fantastic.

Keeping with the bauble theme, I came across this necklace by Alaire, a new-to-me brand that feels like a mix between early Gimaguas and Christopher Esber. Lots of beaded details, beach-forward styling, and the general sense that your summer plans should involve a sarong, a spritz, and very little responsibility.

Speaking of CE, this bikini has been haunting me. I reallllly want it, despite having exactly zero summer vacation plans. Also very into what they’ve done here styling it with the track short. The chicest runner on the beach.

Let them eat cake! antonia macbride shared a photo of Hailey Bieber last month wearing a giant Saint Laurent gown and smoking a cigarette, or at least pretending to. It probably counteracts peptides, if I had to guess.

The image an homage to this iconic photo of Kirsten Dunst on the set of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. I guess we’re all going Baroque.

Chanel Resort 2027 was a very divisive show. People were up in arms about the heel covers, but I’m obsessed with how her nail polish matches them. Iconic.

I would sincerely hope no one plans to wear these in the city next summer, but I do think they’re insanely chic seaside.

The whole show was very mermaid inspired. I love the orange and teal sequins. I found a few dresses (here and here) and a couple skirts (here and here) that have a similar vibe.

The cooler the hat, the closer to God. Prime example: this Chanel knit swim cap, or the adorable cone-shaped hat from the Laila Gohar x Arket collab. Toteme makes a similar style too. I picked one up in black on sale in January, but I had the tan version for years and wore it until it literally unraveled.

Laila is wearing a full look from her collection, down to the loafers. The crinkle fabric is a huge trend right now. It adds dynamic texture to simple silhouettes, and I love how she layered the shirt over the dress. Groundbreaking, really!

J.Law’s street style is the gift that keeps on giving. She has a laidback bohemian aesthetic that resonates with almost every woman I know.

I’ve recently come to the conclusion that any well-styled celebrity pap photo is actually promotion for whatever items they’ve recently been gifted. In this case, I’m assuming the Dior bag and, of course, the unreleased Thistles every influencer is wearing right now. Celebs, they’re just like us.

The Olsens are, in fact, the source and oracle. Before the “dune” sandal, there was the “beach” flip flop from their Summer 2024 collection, which promptly spawned a thousand versions.

I like this elevated take from Mansur Gavriel with the tiny heel — still casual, but just polished enough to justify wearing them somewhere other than the pool. The art direction with the little bug is perfection.

These cerulean blue jellies feel nearly prophetic, or at least symbolic, which is fitting given the color’s namesake reference. They’re a clear descendant of the Chloé Cinderella jellies from the Spring 2026 runway, which feels in line with the trajectory started by The Row’s basket flats a few seasons back.

Fashion has been circling this idea of the precious ugly shoe for a while now: nostalgic, slightly childish, intentionally awkward, but styled with enough conviction that it suddenly looks sophisticated.

And a step even further: the Gap jelly flip flops, which are very cute and fully committed to the bit. Their summer accessories are pool-ready, with glossy plastics, easy shapes, and fun knits.

This Gimaguas tote (which I am VERY close to ordering) also feels reminiscent of The Row Imogen tote from last summer.

For the boys, or borrowed from them, I’m very intrigued by everything going on at Edward Cuming. This mix-and-match striped sweats set would be perfect to pull on after an ocean swim or dip in the pool. The entire line is really good, full of fun, simple twists on clothes you could actually wear every day.

I recently discovered SOUR HOUSE, a text-only sour candy service that found me, naturally, through Instagram. I placed an order for the mid-spring Sorrento lemon. I’ll keep you posted on the sour-to-pleasure ratio.

Another New York brand I recently discovered is Henri. Artful, gorgeous basics that feel thoughtful without being overly designed. The Marcelle T-shirt is officially on my wish list.

What’s in my cart:

This gorgeous TWP Edinburgh embroidered coat feels veryyyy similar to the one from the Dries Spring 2026 runway. It’s a simple, sophisticated layer for spring.

And lace is everywhere right now. Very into this top from Beaufille, and also loving all the lace at Free People, especially the Reya top and In This Groove dress.
