There’s something romantic about a Sunday. Maybe it’s the soft start. Maybe it’s the false promise of productivity. It’s the kind of day where anything could happen: a spontaneous road trip, a really good outfit, maybe even a meet-cute at the laundromat. Here are a few of my favorite ways to spend the most laid-back day of the week.
Running errands (grabbing matcha)
A great excuse to get dressed and get out there. Maybe it’s a midday pick-me-up, maybe it’s your first outing of the day at 11:17 a.m. Either way, I like mine with ice. This Dorsey bracelet makes your day a little brighter.
Neighborhood matcha favorites:
KIJITORA – Excellent pre-vintage browsing stop (Stella Dallas is right there). The line can be long, but the strawberry matcha is actually worth it.
Campbell & Co. – Right on the park. Their frozen matcha hits especially hard in the summer.
Kettl – Technically a hike if you live south, but it’s gorgeous and chill. The matcha’s flawless. Bonus points for the ceramicware.
Fresh laundry
Clean sheets, clean start. The Snif Laundry Starter Pack smells like you have your life together (even if you’re hauling two weeks of socks down four flights of stairs). Bonus: the packaging’s chic enough to leave out.
Taking chances
Wear the perfume. Text them back. Or don’t. Either way, Chanel Chance Eau Splendide is the scent of a plot twist. Fresh, floral, a little flirty—basically your Sunday alter ego. Roll the dice.
Retail therapy
Whether you're cleaning out your closet, filling it back up, or doing both at once, you need a good pair of sweats. These from In The Days of My Youth are soft, easy, and not trying too hard—just like your weekend should be.
Currently browsing: Net-a-Porter, KULE, The Row, Moda Operandi, Flamingo Estate, Emme Parsons, Guest in Residence, and LuisaViaRoma. Tabs are open. Spirits are high.
You don’t have to do it all. Take what you need, leave the rest for Monday.
How do you spend yours?
Stay toasted, xx.
This Substack plus a giant latte=ideal Sunday
Mine’s far less idealized with twin boys in tow, hustling to church tugging at loafers they wish were crocs, downing a speedy non-aesthetic iced coffee until I can return home and put on cozy clothes for the duration of reading, writing and the endless cycling of domestic life.
